well i decided to sacrifice my water change vesel... i used this insalated drink holder for water changes for about 3-4 years not, i used it when vaccuming all my tanks, and dumping out my window(basement window, goes to clay.)

well my dad likes fishing for pike and well..... so do I and the minows kept dieing in the bag in the box, so my bro and i went to cajan tire and amung other things(new tackel box ands lures) got a battery powered air pump...we got the biggeast they had(also the only one in the package and not rapped.) well since the cooers where $30+ i decided to use the drink container my bro got for free and it works perfectly......

we went fishing last week and all 20 minnows not only stayed alive bit friskey, where before there where at lease 5 dewad by the end of 4 houres.... this way the water keeps cold and airated, not a new idea i know but still cool......

it holds about 20-30 gallons of water, plenty for fish-bound-fish., the air pump conviniently clips onto the cup-holder....

here is a pic.

all i did was drill a gole thread a zip tie for the pump and drill a hole for the air line.... it keeps the cold REALY WELL!!!!

The water actuly feels cold to the touch.... after 5-6 hours of fishing, the cooler was a pro-mo. from the company and my bro just took the cooler home and juit the next week...lol, suckers.....

Ah, Necessity...the mother of invention.

Good job, Glad to hear it worked out so well.

I guess you didn't catch anything tho...otherwise you would have posted pix for us pike-less folks :(.

well arn't you the big smarty pants... as a matter of fact NO i didnt cartch a thing... my dad cought a fair sized perch but we deamed it too small and relitivly unharmed. it was friskey so we tossed it back, but it had died a short distance away so we paddled out and got it. good for a snack at about 10-12" long...

this worked surprisingly well, i used to have to change the water in the bag with the lake water to airate it but this is perfect... it even works better then a cooler because it has a small foot-print and holds alot of water. the pump works off of d-cells and i get those free from work ^_^...
