Keeping fish alive

I was wondering how can i keep my catch alive with out haveing to buy all that crap.So i can put it in my tank.

Yeah, if you don't want to get into fish keeping, then why would you want to keep fish?

i think he means alive while out in the boat or on shore....without buying a live well or something.

i would just keep switching out the water. if its a long car ride home i would stop and do water changes. might also get one of those car adaptor plug ins so you can plug in an aiirator.

i can keep shiners and chubs alive and smaller fish for 4 hr drive with just a minnow bucket and filling it up with cold water (they are use to cold water) and putting in a bunch of ice. i think the ice releases oxygen as it melts

Go to the fishing section of walmart and buy and battery powered air pump. Cost is 8-20 bucks depending on size. Well worth it. Having some of those around saved my fish (most of them anyway) after the Ike power outages.
