I think it's more a matter of how you get the fish, as in you will need a standard fishing license for keeping most fish yourself, but if you just buy fish online then I'm sure there wouldn't be any problems.

This has been my experience as well. As long as you have a license to fish you can acquire and jeep the fish legally. There's also no minimum size limit to my knowledge in alabama
