Milky Way Galaxy,
is it possible? they will be kept in a 8x6, but my REAL quesion is the temp!!! it will be in my grage and air is always circulating in there and to be all honost it stays 70Fhottest(summer like now.also doesnt water stay like 5F less then the outside temp right?) and gets around 60F(sometimes a lil less in winter). You think they'd be fine? Am going to get a nice sized air stone to keep the water oxgenated so it keeps the water even cooler. all input welcomed! thanks.

Well - in the wild, Cali horns and Grey Smoothhounds are often found in the same waters, and locals. So yes that can be kept together. And yes - about 60-70F is a good temperature range. Although you don't want the water temp to shift that fast - maybe 1 degree F per month. So you will likely need a heater and a chiller to help maintain a fairly constant water temp.

As for tank size - an 8ft x 6ft, would be okay for a little while - until the Smoothhound reachs about 2 ft or so. the Cali Horn would likely be okay until it reachs maturity. But the Grey Smoothhound will definitely require a larger tank to be kept for life.

Hmm okay am going to stay with my bamboo shark and California ray enclosure then. Am going to cut off the air circulation in the grague so it works like a green house but will add heaters to keep a 85F constant temp.i just didn't have plans on upgrading in the future thanks for the heads up. For future reference tho what would an ideal tank size be for grey smooth hounds?
