Hey,
I'm keeping a juvenile specimen that's about 20cm in length.
Right now it's in a brackish tank with 5g/l.
The salinity will be risen to 1.010.
Now in a German forum a guy said that adults will die if they are kept in brackish water and are not transferred into a marine tank.
Anyone here who can approve this?
Never read something like that in any source I used to gather information.

I currently own one. He is a good 14 inches (35cm). Mine is currently in a a freshwater tank with some marine salt in it. It on the low end, tested it yesterday it's about 1.004.

Mine seems to be doing great. I do know that they are happier in a brackish water setting.

Here is the other fourm that is on here you should check out.

Eventually they should go in a brackish tank and that should be it. Shouldn't need to go fully in salt.

In my FW moray article, there are links to other forum posts and articles of people describing their experiences in keeping G. Tile _not_ in marine conditions. I agree with the comments above which stated that G. Tile does not really need to go full salt when all grown up. However I personally think that it's best to consider all "FW" morays as mid to high-end brackish.
