I bought a 220 gallon tank for my KC and his tank buddies about 2 months ago. Everything is going great but, he has just decided recently that he doesn't want to eat the nightcrawlers that he has been eating for a year now. So I went and bought him some feeder fish:goldfish: and he loves them. But, the last bunch I put in the tank gave all my fish Ick. How can I feed him these feeder:goldfish: fish without giving my fish Ick????:nilly::eek:

Quarantine them for a week before feeding them to your fish. fatten them up with some good quality pellets if you like.

Hello; I have been using a QT (quarantine tank) for years now and have been able to avoid disease in my main tanks.

Solution...... No unquaranteened feeders. One of the easiest and most common way of introducing disease, parasites, etc to your tank. Get a couple breeding pair of convicts and raise your own feeders.
