So i recently got rid of my african cichlids to focus on the fish in my main tank that will soon go in my recently bought 150 sometime in the near future. I decided to own another jag cichlid along with a salvini to go with my other fish. The salvini had to be flushed has he developed ich in and got moved to the med tank but didnt make it. So tomar I think I'm going to get another jag for my growout tank till the 150 get put up.

As long as you have ample tank space(and by that I mean a big footprint, gallons don't mean **** if they are stacked on eachother) then you'll be fine. Also housing them with other cichlids will help spread the aggro. Have plenty or caves throughout the tank as well.

Where in NY are you? I'll give you some jag fry if you want to start really small.

Do you still have the 3 bichirs and Clown Knife? Be careful if you do decide to keep a mated pair of Jags with your other stock. I would make sight breaks and plenty of low places for the bichirs to hide when trouble starts. I have no experience with keeping a Clown Knife so I don't how it would work with a pair of Jags. Good luck though.

my jag was mean as hell for like 2 years even with 6 oscars in the tank he is still the king
one will always be the boss

"there can only be one"
If your Jag is in the same 90gal with four 10" Oscars, a 14"TSN, and a 9" TSN x TRC, it's no surprise that he is very mean. That is very tight quarters for a territorial cichlid like a Jag.

not sure if im gonna keep the jag pair becausei know i got a male and female but the male doesnt like her
