keeping lyonsi

you should create a separate thread for two different questions.

Lyonsi are arguably the least aggresive fish in the genus amphilophus, which includes Midas cichlids, red devils and other very aggressive species.
Dovii are arguably the most aggressive fish in the genus parachromis, which includes jaguar cichlids and other aggressive, predatory fish.
The two are not well suited for one another. In fact, dovii make poor tankmates for most any fish.
I successfully keep lyonsi in a community setting with smaller central americans. They are not particularly aggressive, even when spawning.
