Keeping pbass in a koi pond

I've been a koi keeper for many years. A few years ago we built a new house and of course I had to put an out door pond in. The pond has been running for 4 months now which is only stocked with 7 chinese banded hi fin sharks (2-3 inches). This pond is 1600 gallons equipped with a 40 watt UV and 1/15 hp Wave pump.
Is it a good idea to heat the pond to keep pbass in it? I live in San Diego. I need some feel back please.

yea you would need to heat it up. in the phillipines they have a pond full of mono pbass arowana's and koi!!! it will look good
