You know guys and girls, it's funny, my whole 12 years of keeping pets and taking care of them i never realized what taking care of them really was, until this morning, at 4 in the a.m hearing my dog wrestling around out in the living room and realizing shes very sick, shes 12 shes not eating/drinking, bad arthritis and im forced to think about what if...... the what is shes dying thing never really comes to mind till you see your pet in pain, and as an owner it rips you apart inside because you were there for her first bark, her first toy, her first christmas, her first birthday, because She was there when you were upset, when you needed some companionship, when you know that pet loved you because she would wait for you to fall asleep than jump up on you and rest right next to you if not on top of you. theres people in the world , who see what we at MFK us dedicated pet owners do for our animals, and think its pathetic , however i see it as a show of the quality of humans we really are, trust me i don't want to face the music that maybe my pet is passing on, but as her owner, slash, family, i know that theres not one time i didnt sneak her a extra milk bone when no one was looking, or sit next to her and pet her while she was sick as a puppy. and it doesnt matter what the animal, as that animals owner your not just keeping that pet, your making theere life something special, and if you read between the lines, there making your life just as special.....

I hope you'll be fine.........

That was so sweet.. I hope your dog is okay..

Great read! It's so true. I know I wouldn't be the same person that I am today if it wasn't for my pet lizards and other weird creatures I've had. I'm sorry to hear about your dog passing, at least she's not in pain anymore.

For the past few years I was always worrying about my gecko dying, but he's 10 years old now and showing no sign of slowing down, except for when my parents over fed him this fall.

I wish you didn't have to go through witnessing the suffering of your pet, but I'm glad you understand the responsibility and bond of owning a dog specifically as well as toher pets.

I hope you find some peace.

He had another thread saying that she died....

loosing a pet rips you very muchly because
you know theres never ever going to be
another pet just like yours and you
hope everytime when you get a new
pet you hope its like the old one

rest in peace to all pets who have died
the memories will live on in our minds,
thinking back to those will bring a smile or tear to our
eye's
