ok whats needed to keep a school of piranhas ??? tank size ? Water parameters ? water temp? decor? food ?

I seen a nice school of small piranhas for sale (and really cheap) at my LFS and want to know if I can get whats needed to keep some of them.

what species, I heard a 125 is required for a school of 6 red bellies. And some are even more territorial and require more space. provide cover for weaker ones to hide if necessary, frequent WC and overfilter, they are very messy eaters

I disagree with the messy eaters. They're only messy if the keeper overfeeds them. Piranha take bite size chunks & swallow it. How messy is that? Bigger the tank the better.

As always bigger is better. Bigger tank they wont b as aggressive toward each other , bigger shoal, less skittish
