Come on guys we all have fed live blackworms to our fish can I just get some advice on keeping them feeding them and maybe reproducing them so I dont have to buy them so often.
i havent been able to buy black worms at lfs near me in 5 years lol

I have never fed them or bred them. I know that a lot of the time they get them from the ends of trout runs. I keep mine in a tupperware that has a large surface area, but I keep them in water that is barely high enough to cover them otherwise they ball up and suffocate. Wash them everyday with cold water (I just use it from the tap) until the water runs clear. I have not really kept them longer than a week or two because they all get fed out to my fish.

I may buy 1.5 lbs from a distributer because my catfish love them as well as my feeder fish and cichla and cichlid that is why I was wondering how to keep them for longer than a week or 2 more like a month or 2

If you have them in your fridge in a large enough container (it would have a huge foot print) and maintain them properly you could feasibly keep them that long without feeding them as the temp in the fridge would slow them way down (metabolically speaking).
