what can i use to keep a suck on my overflow? I was thinking a power head maybe? I can not think of anything else.

Yeah, you could use a power head. At the lfs I used to work at we used a powerhead placed near the surface to keep the top of the tank turbulent so it was constantly forcing water over the barrier of the overflow.

you can use a power head, I prefer using a small water lift pump. It is the opposite of an air pump and is about the same size. $10-15. you can see one on top of the top tank. always works. I have not always had luck with the power heads for some reason.

I'm using a cpr90 overflow right now with a quietone 4000. I don't have a aqua lifter just using a air tube with a one way airvalve. It seems like the flow coming from my quietone4000 is so strong that it is forcing the water into the overflow from the otherside of the tank. If have had this overflow for 3 weeks and no problems so far. It's just that the overflow sometimes makes a gurgling sound:eek:

i have used both kinds, but in less then 8 months my aqua lifer fail , purchase a second one with a prefilter and afther 10 months give or take the second one fail also witha nice little flood on my floor. i have put a check vale on my cpr. i useing a power head now until i can figer what to do.
