I seem to be having some trouble keeping the outside of my tanks clean. The inside is not really a problem, but the outside seems to always have silty residue on it. I wipe it clean and then it looks ok, but then when i make a picture i really see it because of the flash. How should I keep them clean? should I use ordinary window cleaner? like windex or something

There are many fish safe cleaners which I like quite a bit, as they leave a residue that keeps water spots from forming for quite a while. There are also options of using windex, I'd recommend getting the ammonia free type. Finally there is good old fashion water. I've not had any better cleaning of glass with vinegar as without, so I personally do not recommend wasting the money.
