Hey guys,

Haven't been on in a while but uhh yeah, hi!

Iam taking a trip to Taiwan in 2 weeks. My mom and brother are leading tonight, and ill be leaving by myself in 2 weeks. (pretty nervous as im 15 and dont speak great chinese)

Anyways, back to the question...
I have to run in Taiwan as I have to stay in shape for cross country and track (blaaah). I was just wondering, what are some good ways to keep mosquitos away? I know people burn these green coil things but i can't really run with one ya know?

anyways, all tips would be appreciated

Thanks,
Kevin

Mosquito spray? I think the brand OFF sells a clip on mosquito repelent that you just clip onto your belt.

I think bug spray is the most logical solution as you are running. Run faster, go when there are less out?

If you run with a smartphone there are apps with different sound frequencies (attract dogs, only kids can hear etc) and some frequencies keep insects away. But i doubt thats helpful.

This may sound strange, but dryer sheets. These things work amazingly, no lie. I am an avid hiker and keep a box in my backpack at all times. When bugs get bad I put one in my front pocket and 2 in my back pockets and they dont bother me whatsoever afterwards. Better than that horrible smelling spray that doesnt do much.

Mosquitoes are more visible at dusk 'til dawn usually. Bring Off lotion with you.

This will sound strange but I use coal tar in my shampoo(for my Psoriasis) and wash my arms with it too and I have not been bitten in over 8 years. My wife can be close by me and get bitten but me...nothing. It does have a similar odor to deet but I don't know if Mosquitos can smell.

What is the name of the shampoo if you don't mind? ....The dryer sheets idea sounds interesting.
