is it posible to have a male jack dempsy and a female in the same tank with out them breeding or fighting i have a female thats not very color full we'll not like a male atleast but i wan't a male and don't wan't to part with my female can it be done

Fixed title for you. And yes, it's possible, but who knows? The fish decide what happens underwater :D

I have a 9" male and a 6" female JDs in my 150g, they pay no attention to one another whatsoever.

tank dividers is the only thing that i can think of

I have a female jd with my male in a 120 and they have never attempted to make any sort of interaction with each other.

What you could do is add a divider, but thats not good in a show tank. I can also think of perhaps getting an aggressive male is need be to prevent spwaning.

I have a 10" male , 4" male and 4" female in the same tank, never tried to breed and all the paramaters are right?? I always thoyght they were easy to breed?
