I just need to know whats ok to put in my tank that will maintain the correct water levels, if the levels arnt high there low

If you mean PH, Hardness and the like, just use it as it comes out of the
tap. Don't want to keep adjusting using chemicals.

If you mean you have really low pH then check your hardness, IF it is really low, then you have low to no buffering capacity in which case using crushed coral is fine. Put it in a micron bag and place in your filter.
