Keeping Wood Clean?

Would does everyone use to keep their drift wood clean in their Cichla tanks?...ie fish, or scrubbers if such an item or do I just let it do its thing?

Plecos or Flagtails would do the job. Some "fancy" plecs are more carnivorous minded however so research before you buy.

Coues, thanks for the quick response this is what I figured most have, I just been having trouble finding the size I need and wanted to double check there wasnt another option.

plecos ~ they eat and suck everything off wood.

In most my tanks I scrub down the wood when/if the algae gets out of control. If I end up with a algae I like, I usually just let it do it's thing. I have also had a few pieces that grew algae like crazy or deteriorated while sitting in water. Those I ended up just putting in the garden as decorations.
