Bought some wc kels the other day but I’m not sure on what kels they are because from reading several threads there is a lot of different kelberi about.
Rio araguia
Rio doce
Rio Tocantins
Bahia
Spider
R parana
24k’s
And I’m sure more, at what size would I start to see this 8-10 inch ?

Good question I would like to hear more about Kelberi myself. I know there are a few common names used for them that might be confusing. I’ve heard names like golden, Baja , 24k and from what I have read those are all the same type. I’m sure someone on here can clarify the origin of these fish. They usually start shows there spangles at 5 to 7 inches.

Bahia, 24k, spider, golden are all farmies from what I understand.
Wild Caught kels are labeled from the river system or area they were caught from
Rio Araguia kels were caught in the Araguia river
Rio Parana kels were caught in the Parana river etc.
They look different from different rivers
Same applies to ocellaris like brokopondo, guyana, french guiana etc. and other bass for that matter. Some types of bass dont really look that different collected from different areas to me azuls and tems pretty much look the same.
