I did a quick search but wasn't able to find a similiar post. I have four 2" kelbs and was wondering how long before they'd outgrow a 75g, a 120g, and would a 400g be large enough for four?

Right now, I'm feeding them 3x a day but will cut it back to twice a day at 4" and once a day at 6". Weekly water changes of about 30%.

Please don't tell me to skip the 75g and 120g and go straight to the 400g.

Thanks in advance for any info you may be able to provide me!

Andrew:)

from what i hear they grow as slow as orinos.. so maybe the better part of a year

My pair are still comfortably living in a 125 and I've had them for over 3 years.

Yeah they grow really slow, and they are one of the "smaller" species of Cichla. 400g would be mint for those guys. You might even have room for a couple more with a tank that size :naughty:
