Kelberi issue

My three Kelberi in my 125 grow out tank are approaching the 6" to 8" mark. They have been together since they where 2"
I've just recently noticed quite a bit of gill flaring and aggression between the 3.
However they don't bother the Azul which is around the same size or the small red hook dithers.

First time with Kelberi are they normally this aggressive within their species? Thoughts? Experiences?

If they weren't so small they almost act like they are trying to pair off.

That behavior is normal of cichla. Kelberi are normally on the more docile side tho. That Azul will most likely rule the tank.

Ime there's always more aggression between conspecifics with cichlids. In my tank my Bahia fight all day long until one of my Azuls or my Pinima break it up. When I had four Azuls together they would constantly fight and bicker.....it's normal behavior.

thanks for the replies, as this is my only cichla tank displaying any type of aggression... in the other tanks they only get aggressive when its feeding time... then the splashing and commotion starts..
