Drooling over Xanders Kelberi shots had me thinking about mine and when they would develope their humps.Is it a thing that comes with age or breeding condition?

Funny you Brought this up i was just thinking about it the other day I am sure some or alot has to do with maturity but i have been noticing in these Bahia specificly lately that guys that have them in large tanks as soon as they are juvie like Sidockters and Cali Sucks the sure Matered quikly and developed nuchel humps at a year or slightly under a year old thought that was very interesting for sure ......krichardson;4970540; said:
From what ive seen, and I could be very wrong, conditions have to be right for breeding for them to develop the hump. In other words water parameters need to be very close to their natural habitat, and it helps if there is a mature female in there with them.
