Just picked this cichla up today sold as a kelberi. Very nice looking. But just want a positive id from you guys. Thanks

About 7. Had to move to another serup. My armatus didn't like him to much. May need to give more time now that he has been moved again. I don't personally think this is kelberi but it's all good for him with store credit
It looks like it could be a kel but doesn't seem to show any sign of Spangling coming in. I'd just keep growing it. If it's a kelberi you should start seeing some kind of Spangling coming in soon. On the top back fin towards the tail in the pic with the tems... Is that a gold dot on it? If so it's a kel
If it looks like this then it's probably a kel. You can see the gold spots ... This guy was at 7.5inches. Keep in mind that some Kels take longer to spangle up.
I'll just grow him out a little more and see. Top fin is like yours. Nice kel
