kelzul info and pics wanted

hi all, if anyone has any info and pics can you post it up , I have a cichla that has the body shape of an Azul but patten is not the normal patten that an Azul has .

They,along with kelrinos were a bit of a big deal about a year or so ago but I haven't heard much about them since.

Yep, I remember seeing a video of kels and azuls together also kelzuls swimming amongst them. Hopefully someone with more knowledge will chime in.

Yes the ones I posted were natural but I think in Asia they were making them like the kelrino.

Kelberi and Azuls both originate from the Araguaia river in Brasil, so I think it should be possible that there are naturally occuring hybrids.

Athough I thougt that the Kelberi are mostly living in the shallow parts of the river and the Piquiti (Azuls) in the deeper parts

That probably explains in part why occurrences of the fish are so rare in the hobby.
