Has anyone purchased the two hybrids that ken davis list on aqua-bid?
he has midas fenestrada crosses and "red chanchos"

admittedly i've never been into hybrids but i have a spare 125 and was looking to grow out something unique.

needless to saw i won't breed or distribute fry, just looking to grow out a monster male from each line.

anyone have pics to share?

if you read my post, I'm asking what the fish turned out to look like. I do not have them, nor wood I breed as stated above.

I don't assume a blood parrot type would be the outcome- they likely look like taller bodied catemeco fennys-

BUT the entire point of my post was to see grown out versions of said fish. i also put it in the hybrid section so as not to draw ire of any purist.
 
I'm a fan of hybrids. I really think midas x Vieja fenestrata = BP. I would like to see what really happened.

There was an article a long time ago written about that conjecture (https://gregthecrazyfishguy.wordpress.com). The article lays out the improbability of this happening with experiments. If you read further down in the comments, there was an error in translation from Chinese (Mandarin maybe?) that made people think a gold severum was bred with a midevil to create a BP, when it fact the BP was created the same way as the fancy goldfish or balloon fish, in line bred midevils with curved back/balloon defect bred with other CAs. https://gregthecrazyfishguy.wordpress.com/2013/11/04/genetics-of-the-blood-parrot-cichlid/

There are examples of this cross here on MFK in this section, that were posted a number of years back. If you use the search feature you should be able to find them.

I always start with searches and don't create post until i come up empty, which i did.

although many thread titles on here are largely unusable for future sources.

any idea, specifically, where one may find them
