The spinibarbus barb and tors faired well through winter in the outdoor pond. Even ate during the low temp.
Springtime is near and I can't wait to get them to a decent size. They are coloring up nicely. Outdoor conditions are great for this kind of fish. They've been putting on size at a good rate. Got some growouts inside but they need to put on at least an inch before I can put them out.

Very nice Ken. Thanks for sharing

:D so thats where the rest of wes's tors went ^^ Looking nice . Its interesting how those spinibarbus are so much more peaceful though, cuz IF they were masheers, I think they wouldve eaten the smaller ones... lost some feeders that were not intended for the masheers when i wasn't expecting them to actually chase down decent size prey xD
look forward to see how the small ones turn out

Wow! This pond is in San Diego? Can you take a full picture shot of the pond? I want some Tor's but I didn't want them in my tank with my grow outs and AUL.

So they fared well through this last cold front too? I know temps were pretty low. This is great info.

Yeah, it got pretty cold and they're fine. I also get the coastal breeze. They are suppose to be cold water fish. Here an old photo of the pond. 1600gallons, 4 ft deep.
