How is the quality of the food that this site sells? Specifically looking for experiences/reviews of the:

Kens Premium Cichlid color pellet: (No carb sinking)

Kens Premium Spirulina sticks

Kens Premium Color sticks (With Naturose)

Kens Premium Floating cichlid pellets

For people who have used these products, how do they compare to foods/brands like Hikari Cichlid Bio-Gold, NLS, and Omega? Do you get about the same growth rates/colors/overall health and longevity? Or is it worse?

I'm a bit skeptical due to the price of the fish food.:nilly: Just seems too good to be true, IMO.

look at the other thread, lots of good info

So far I can't find any that compare his food to NLS, Hikari, and Omega. :nilly:

But from the looks of things, I'm going to be ordering from him as soon as my Hikari Bio-gold runs out. Stuff is $20 for just a 8.8 oz bag of food.:nilly: Albeit, I'm getting good results from it. Just doesn't seem to be worth the money though.

There have been threads on this before...

In short, it's completely worth every cent. I can easily compare it to Hikari, although that's the only major brand I have tried.

If you decide to order from there, you won't be disspointed IME. His shipping options are great too.

I dont think anyones done a scientific comparison.Any comparisons would just be opinion.
In everyones opinion that posted in the threads Ken makes some high quality food, nuff said.

i use the floating cichlid pellets, and have ordered over 50lbs of the stuff in the last few months, in both 5.5mm and 7.5mm. i see no difference what so ever between feeding my fish with their old mix of hikari staple/gold and wardley pellets except my bank account has an extra few $$ now :)

oh, and my new filter pads dont get dyed red like they did when feeding the hikari gold from all the dye in there.

you cna do a search on here for kensfish.com and read all the replies. you wont find one single bad post about the quality of his food or his service.

I just received my first order from him this week. I am very happy with his product and my fish seem to enjoy it as well.

I just started using the soft sinking krill pellets for my bichirs and they seem to like it. Some dats will also eat it. I also ordered the no carb stuff, but havent tried it yet, don't want to introduce too much at once.

Cool, I just ordered 4.5 pounds of food. (Only have 5 fish right now, so that's more than enough to last a while.) Do the pellets ever go stale (like dog food)? How do you guys store them?
