anyone try this new kens food?? or have an opinion of the kens food in general http://www.kensfish.com/kensnocarbcolorpellets.html

the first few ingredients look like they may be much better than most of what else is out there. no cereals, grains or any seemingly undigestable fillers

i ordered a 1/2 pound of this new stuff, along with 1 lb. of the 7.5mm large cichlid pellet. im hoping it may be a cheaper, and maybe healthier alternative to feeding my large fish in my 250.

Keep us posted...sounds like it might do the trick...

There's a supplier in Cali selling krill meal for about 20 cents a pound. Would be good if you wanted to make your own food.

i have been buying my fish food from ken for quite a while now, his food is as good if not better than any out there, i don't think his prices can be beat. shipping is fast and he always has called me back. i tried his no carb my oscars just swam away from it. went back to the regular. my angels really like his angel flake. i dont buy my fish food any where else. did not mean to derail your thread just my opinion

mine used to eat anything but it seems here lately they are real picky...

not derailing at all man, thats exactly what im looking to find out. good or bad opinions. and who's fish liked it and who dident. it does make me feel better however to know several people like the regular pellet and are pleased.

im sure my pacu will have no problems eating the foods. they are literally garbage cans with gills, and have never met a food they dident like :)

I've been feeding Ken's for years. I feed my flake eaters his Premium Color Flake. Goldies love his goldfish pellets and flakes. I use a lot of his color bits, as well, for my smaller cichlids. With this last order, I got his no-carb pellets. My fish (severums, silver dollars, pikes) love them. My festae and jag won't eat them, but they won't eat pellets of any sort, so that's not a very good gauge.

With the exception of my jag and festae, I've never had any fish that wouldn't gobble down any of Ken's foods. I do feed a variety of foods, so I've used most of his various foods at one point in time or another. I love them, and you really can't go wrong for the price.
