Is there a way to keep angle fish in a large community tank and stop them from reproducing? I want to keep them I just don't want them to terrorize the rest of the inhabitants. If this is possible could you explain how it can be done? Thank you

You could simply keep one angelfish if you'd like unless you want a group in which case, you'll have to keep interfering with their spawning rituals by removing the eggs if you don't want them to breed.

I agree with Lupin. Once these guys want to get it on, they get it on. And it doesn't take much for tank raised strains.

Why not just keep all females?
That will never work. It's hard to determine their sexes without determining the appearance of their vent and two females can still pair up mistaking each other for a male and still cause enough ruckus while defending their eggs.

oh. so there really isn't a way. lol. what happens if they breed in a 120 long community. will they try to overtake the whole tank/

It depends but generally, no, they don't overtake the whole tank. They'll simply mark a small part of the tank as their territory.

but i can still keep other fish in it like angels and apistos and the only thing that will happen is the will get chased away??

Apistos live at the bottom. I doubt it's a problem since angels generally lay their eggs in the upper and middle strata.
