Ok so I think we all know LED is the lighting of the future, and it's still being perfected. This is in no way the "perfect" lighting, but I think its huge leaps and bounds in the right direction. I'm going to leave out the usual LED pros(low energy, long life, little heat) and focus on what makes this LED different and great.

*disclaimer* I do not work for kessil and have no connection to them other than I'm wowed by this light.

ADVANTAGES

Size- smaller than a soda can with Very low weight. Can easily be suspended by cord without any worries.

Color- by using a dense matrix led, they are able to accomplish proper color across a broad spectrum. If you look closely at the light when it's off you can see whites, yellows, reds and such all packed tightly in a led chip probably close to the diameter of a pen.

Dense Matrix Led- tons of LEDs packed in one chip. Color is great, but also the shimmer is much improved over other units I've used. While there is the definitive led shimmer, it isn't seizure inducing like other led "cannons" I've seen since the lit does come from one spot but not really.

Gooseneck is very sleek and convenient.

IMPROVEMENTS

On/off switch may be helpful for some

Different length goosenecks would be nice I find its about 6" shorter than I'd like.

So far I haven't grown any paints yet, but I have high hopes on this lights ability and question wether I will need a second for my 57 rimless. Pics soon

I've heard nothing but good things about these lights. I wish they had a less powerful/cheaper model for my 5g planted betta tank.

Ya the smallest id do with this would be like an 18" cube but you would need co2 or It would prob just be algea soup, I swear I was watching HC grow in my little terrarium when I put this light over it for a few hours
