hi just bought a lovely keyhole cichlid! i insensately feel in love with him or her but i dont know if its a male or female.. so can you give me a hand sexing him? ill have pics up so but for now can you just tell?

I'd be able to sex it from a photo.
Males will have longer dorsal, pelvic and anal fin extensions, as well as more yellow in the fins and a much more solid head as opposed to females who have a slightly pointier snout. This of course probably doesn't mean anything to you as you have no comparison. Using photos that I already have online..
Female Snout
Terrible example but note the snout shape as well as the long dorsal streamer (extends past the end of the caudal fin).
Male again.
