KH and GH Dilemma

Hi all,

I was hoping someone could perhaps clear this up for me, currently my KH in my tank is sitting at 17.9mg/L and my GH is 214.8mg/L!!

I've been using PH / KH Plus by Sera for about a week now and I recently added about 2kg of course coral rubble to raise the KH, which has done absolutely nothing.

Our tap water is 17.9mg/L KH and 107.4mg/L GH respectively.

If anyone could possibly explain how or why this is happening and what I can do to remedy the situation.

Also, ideally what should these values be for Silver Aro's?

How long has the coral been in your tank, stay away from the quick fix you want to avoid dramatic ph sifts.

PH was dropping to below 6 continuously with the low KH comming out of the tap, so I was advised by a fellow Aro keeper to try the coral rubble (which has been in the tank for a week, 2.5kg for a 1300 Litre tank) and the Sera KH plus.

PH is now at 7 and seems to be steady but now I have this rather odd GH / KH situation
