KH Help

Hello ,

I am having a problem with low PH and KH in my 55 gallon aquarium. My KH is zero and my PH is around 6.5. My Tap water is 80KH and PH of about 7.2. What could be causing the droup of KH in my aquarium?

Do you have alot of driftwood or peat in the tank? When you test your tap water do you let it sit out overnight in an open container? If you test straight out of the tap you will not get good results because of the gasses that are in the water, (chlorine, co2 etc.).

How often do you do water changes? What is the nitrate reading your the tank?
