So I saw this add on kijiji this morning advertising a 125g tank with stand, canopy with led light, filter, heater ect. for $350 CDN. I thought to myself (judging by the picture) what a great deal! So I drove 45 minuets to go look at it.
So I get there and the tank turns out to be a 90g not a 125. Its scratched to hell, most of the trim is ripped off, the edges of the tank are chipped horribly, there was no canopy, the light wasn't a strip light like the picture suggests, the stand turned out to be a home made POS stand made up of crudely bolted together and bent pieces of metal. I would have bet him $350 right then and there that the stand wouldn't be able to hold up the tank once filled with water (assuming it even holds water). Also the picture suggests that the stand is wooden. Although the pic is dark, you can clearly see the decorative squared off pattern on the doors, standard in almost every cupboard door you see today. I mentioned this to him and he said "I had a black cloth draped around the stand in the picture. BS! what a damn liar. All he did was steal someones pic and put it on his own ad.
Check it out. It's clearly not the tank I went to see.
