Killer Dempsey

I have a 4-inch dempsey who is a killing machine. He has killed (since I got him) 3 plecos an one large pink-tailed chealsious. What can i keep with him - I dont want something that will kill him and i dont want the fish to be constantly fighting either.

Oscars, Convicts, Red Devils, Pacu...Chinese golden algea eater. Texas cichlid one or all three brands of the texas family....FlowerHorns,Midas.

Try any of these.. How large is your aquarium...

yeah, how big is the tank? dempseys aren't normally that aggressive though occasionally you will run across the psychotic killer male. however, for the most part if you see that kind of aggression it is usually due to having too small a tank.

any texas family cichlid, or some cons. A larger pleco might work too if you give it some rocks to hide in.

Just sounds like you have it in a small tank and that is why he is killing everything. If your tank is larger though, any of the already suggested tankmates should work.
