Killer ghost shrimp!!

So my mannueli hasnt accepted frozen food yet so I gave in and bought him two gold fish.

He ignores them.

All of a sudden I see the gold fish freacking out and attached to the gold fish are two or three ghost shrimp. The ghost shrimp started attacking the gold fish when they were alive.

After that I saw the lone guppy that survived with the manuelli start doing the same thing!!

So I took the goldfish out to see if my rhom wanted them and they start getting attacked my two baby convics maybe an eight their size

then the rhom ate them, one of the only times I fed live.

Must suck to be a gold fish today everyone including the guppy and shrimp want a piece of you.

Post pics of your ghost shrimps. There are many species labeled as ghost shrimps and most of them turn out to be the predatory long armed ones.

I've had a ghost shrimp now in my tank for about a month along with two guppies. He's very peaceful. The only daring thing he's done is ride on the back of my snail's shell, but that's about it. You sure they're ghost shrimp?

i fed like 3 to my jack dempseys.. my big fat female was going for one.. it jumped on her face.. like inbetween her eyes.. lol, she couldn't fine it!

ill try and get pics, all I got is my cell phone. Not really sure what species they are just the feeder "ghost shrimp" from the lfs.

They don't bother my piranha, at least I don't think they do.

ya i figure if they munch them, just an alternative food source. 17 cents I can handle.

they help clean up some left over food and I just like the way they look in a tank. Im breeding rcs and once I have an abundance of them, they will start being added to the tank as well. Red on black will look nice.
