killer Green terror ate eye :(

today i got a new eureka peacock . He was just swiming in the tank
untill my 3.5 inch green terror bump on his eye and ripped it .
I quartine it immediately.the eyeball is gone and there is a hole. what to do.
Should i euthanize the fish.When i search the net regarding the less visions of these albino peacocks i found out they got less eye vision as compared to other normal fishes. What i feel this may be the reason ,for the loss of eye of this poor fish.
what to do now.

Just watch it, maybe treat with melafix. If it eats and everything it should be fine. I had a 1 eyed cory cat for like 5 years.

feed the rest of him to your green terror and get some compatible cichlids. What size is your tank and what are the current tank mates? I'll help you pick some new ones out.

The general rule with cichlids is not to mix africans with americans. Under some circumstances you'll be okay but their aggression, water parameters, and diet are almost always different so they're usually not very good tank mates.

my green terror usually stays normal dont know what attracted him towards his eyes.
so that he picked it.
the hurt fish is eating ok. and in another tank not with this 1.
i got 6 severum,2 blue dolphin,2 peacock

Ive heard of it working. It however never worked for me or any tank I have seen.

wouldn't mix either . . . that being said, there's no reason the peacock couldn't live with just one eye . . . it's up to you whether you want to take care of him tho' . . .

I had a one eyed Red Oscar for years. Fish can adapt to alot.
