Killer snail ?

What type of snail is it ? Not my tank so I can't confirm but my buddy said that the snail is killing his fish. I'm thinking that the fish are dying and the snail is scavenging but he swear that the snail had hold of a live fish.

Looks like a Apple Snail never heard of them killing fish.

I had one sold to me as a gold mystery snail. They do not kill fish. My my koi killed the snail.

I had 3 of them.
They are called "Golden Mystery Snails".
They all died do to being eaten by clown Loaches. They lived with neons and feeder danios for years just fine

Sounds like he has something else killing his fish. It's possible one was floating around almost dead and the snail got it. But that's because they're scavengers. And...Well...If you can't escape from a snail...

I've heard of them but don't know much about them.
