kind of a dumb question...but

i got a 55, i am selling. and i need to get a new tank after, i was thinkin a 75, or somekinda cube tank ( around 50 gallons). what size tank do the geos need? what is the smallest kind? i saw some at my lfs today and i liked them alot, what kinda tank mates can i have them with? i want a commmunity tank, do u think they can mix with tetras( mabye congo?) anbd other more peaceful fish like that?

also can i have a planted tank with them or will they bit/eat the plants?

you good do them with a school of congo tetras..also some dwarfs..or smaller acaras...but with the plant u could try some big stough like amazon sword or some type of apontagenten but the geos will end up digging them out of the ground if they werent really big...hence the name eartheaters..but other then that they are fairly peacefull fish..and should pose a threat to other fish..

any other fish suggestions with them? could i do neons or will they attack them? or mabye some bala sharks?

oh yah what is the recommended tank size for them? i saw a tank on here with geos that was a planted tank...it was really cool, was like 180 gallons i think, so u guys dont think i could have any plants ?

well how many geos did u wanna do they usually max out at around 10-12 inches..if you did a school of neons i would do alot.like 20 or more because the geos may eat them balas might be nice but once again tank size i would say stick to like 3-4 geos and some dithers and hardy big root plants and you should be fine with a 75 gallon i would go larger if you could like a 110 or 120
