They usually stay in the back of the tank...in the dark, but it looks like they decided to come out and play

Sweet pics, very clean. Is it just me, or do the first couple pics seem really dark? Stress colours?

The first few pics are from a different tank which I almost never turn on the lights. I turn on the lights maybe once a week for only a couple of hours (during water changes). Other than that...they're not used to having the lights on, but my Dats have become unstable over the past couple of years. 2 of them used to be pretty stable...can't seem to get them stable again.

I've found that leaving the lights on longer helps them get used to it. Works for me at least
