after doing research and talking to several people ive wondered when it comes to the king kong parrot is the "American king kong parrot" even really what it claims to be since this fish was developed in asia and standards for traits were set in place long ago. ive looked at both variants and they dont really look the same as the American varient looks more like a small midas and the asian one looks more like an oversized blood parrot with the mouth sometimes being able to close other times not..american ones ive seen tend to be orange where as the asian ones are almost always dark red. was the name simply ripped off and used to sell a fish that isnt what its claimed to be? does something cease to be what its title suggests if the traits are missing even if the recipe used is the same or similar? like red texas faders without pearls still being pushed as red texas etc

The real nice ones are produced by Happy Breed, a breeder in Asia. They have two variants: Red Mammon and Red Ingot.
