king lion cichlid

can anyone tell me what kind of cic this is? lfs had it labeled as a king lion cichlid...i havn't been able to find out anything on the web using that name. looks like some sort of quetzal or such. any info would be greatly appericated.

well, so far i've found lots of info on them. some sites say they are very peaceful, but others are saying that they are as agro as the butti...

- repair, beautiful fish you got there. what's the temperment like? i'm thinking of getting one around 5in., what are good tankmates for them, if any...

they mellow compared to other cichlids.

I have seen them be mean but the ones I've had have been very peacefull.... they remind me of a sevrum only calmer

They don't seem to be able to handle stress from aggresive a tankmates.

Severums are ideal tank mates for most Chocolates. Of course you do occasionally run across a Chocolate with an attitude but then again that's true of all Cichlids...
