Some bastard let 4 BIG koi go in the 5+ acre pond my mom's property borders...

There are bass in the pond, so I'm "only" a "little" worried about them breeding, etc. but these koi are 18+ inches long... The small one of the bunch is still over 12" ... so I don't think the bass will be taking care of the adults ....

Are these worth ($$) getting out alive and safe or do I do it via ummm..... "alternative" methods?

If you can catch them they might be worth some coin. If you can't the bass should take care of the fry.

you know, an osprey or heron may do the work for you. I would bet kio are easy to spot from above.

yeah if they are nice looking and dont have any bruises or fungal infection, then you can probly get some money for them

Yeah you can sell them. They are worth a lot of cash to some people.

there is a pond store neer me that sells koi. and for that size they sell them over 100$

Cool... time to call a couple of LFSes... since it would be a short car trip (10, 15 min. tops) could I use a large cooler with an airbubbler in it for transport?
