Kirin Parrot breed with Convict Cichlid?

I have a Kirin Parrot that has breed with my Convict I can not find any info on this pair breeding anyone have any info? They are in 180 gallon tank with sevurms who are now hiding in the corner away from the family

Looks interesting. I’m curious to see how they grow up. I’ve never seen this cross, but from what I know about convict parrots and convict flowerhorns, I would expect something that looks like a Kirin but with less short bodying, paler, and striped.

Yeah I'm curious aswell I'm not a breeder. i have a dozen difrent tanks, I think I need to get the fry into there own tank with a sponge filter befor they get sucked into the canister there seems to be a thousand of them I hope some survive

They should make it, just about all of the cichlids that go into that cross are known for being good parents.

I had a spare 40 gallon i removed most of the fry, mom and dad into there own tank as they were stressing all the other fish out they seem to be doing well so far

You have a shortbody flowerhorn, not a kirin.

There will be none that look like kirin. Most will look like a convict cross. Not worth the effort growing out this spawn.

Idk looks pretty angry to me lol. But yeah I agree it does look nice atleast. Almost looks like something ya would find in the wild.
