Oregon, it's part of 'Murica!
Now the fry are 3 months old. Most are 0.5-0.75" but I have a few that are around 1". Picked up another breeder box to separate another large fry and a betta box I will use for pics.

I guess you did not like the name suggestion for the big one? :irked:

Very cool! I have been searching high and low for Killin/Kirin Bonsai Parrots. I had picked up 2 of these guys years ago loved keeping them and then sadly they passed on. Since then I haven't been able to source them again. It's really awesome that not only did you source them but managed to successfully breed them. Only a fellow hybrid fan who knows how difficult some of these breeds can be to reproduce can truly appreciate how much of an accomplishment that is.

Can I ask how many fry do you have left from the initial spawning?

Did you manage to successfully rear any more fry past wiggler stage from either this pair or the other you spoke of in your last thread?

When ever your willing to sell and ship these bro I hope you give me first crack at them. I really do miss how they complimented my BP and now that I've added a Mammon to the fray I think a Kirin would really pull my tank together.

They are from your dwarf pair, or crosses, Chris?

From my first batch I have about 20-25 left from Pair #2 and then I have a much smaller batch of about 15-20 that are much much younger from Pair #1. Lost a bunch to the second batch from an ammonia spike when I was out of town for a few days. First batch a lot made it from the wiggler stage, a good majority of them did with only a handful of white eggs. Second batch wasn't as luck because a lot of them got stuck together during wiggler stage and ended up deformed. Gonna try to get my pairs to spawn again soon.

Once I get them a bit older and weather clears up will be able to start selling them although might keep as many as I can from the first batch. Parrots in general are really slow growers lol.

These are from my second Kirin Parrot pair. Kirin Parrots are Flowerhorn and Blood Parrot mix where they have the Blood Parrot body and Flowerhorn body markings/color.

This is Pair #2. The female is on the left and the male on the right.

Thanks bro, for the info! Seriously I've been all over the net looking and in N.J. never thought they'd have them in NYC. Can you tell me what exact address and pets store had them? I'd really appreciate it and thank you again.

Kolt

Called all the pet stores on Mott and only one knew what I was talking about when I said Kirin/Killin Bonsai Parrots(sort of) Pacific Aquarium. Said they had 4 in stock so I shot over there and unfortunately to my dismay they had Short Body/Bonsai Flowerhorns not the Kirin/Killin Bonsai Parrots pictured above. Figured I'd throw that out there in case anyone else was thinking about hitting Mott for these guys.

Sorry Chris if I derailed a little bit.
