Texas!
He is a tiny tike, but punches a mean bite for whoever messes with him in the tank, he has landed the lady of the tank, my Blood Parrot Rose, named for her unusual pink and purple color.

Here is Rose, she is trying to lay eggs or get a cozy spot, so she won't be still for a photo... Hope you can see her. Also in the pic is BIG Tex.. he is still a runt to, but is already sparkly and beautiful... (hoping he is a he..)

Here is Speck and Angel, my BP (not sure sex yet) and my angel who survives all tank havoc.....

SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!!! you are kidding me right? this pic has a funky angle to it, she is round and fat like a parrot, just has a shut mouth... SO WTH am I going to do with a SBFH>>>>
Then Im way doubled fudged... because ROSE must be a boy, they have paired up under the little cave thing and are all crazy.... JEEEEZ, I am soooo bummed.. I hope that if there is a 10% chance your wrong, the these guys land in that 10%... DAMN

FAAAAAACK!!!YOU ARE RIGHT>>>> CHRISPLOSION. @#&^%*(@#^#&@*%)^@^#$&*) just watched some sbfh videos..

oh well she/he is cute anyway, so I guess I can wait til I get to Houston to pick out my OWN KIRIN... freakin crap. I never even tried to look at sbfh's... I was wondering why her color was coming up a little different, cause she is a funky color.... JEEEZ. hahahaha So my next question is, do I need to change my tankmates for her? FH are pretty insane about tankmates right? she has been pretty nice to everyone so far....

I love that fish. It is beautiful. The pet store close to me has a FH that is HUGE. It is one of their pets. It is in the tank with several different fish from 5 inches and up. The Fh is a monster, but doesn't seem to bother any of the others. It has a large hole rooted out in the sand and swims above it most of the time, I guess the others just stay away from the hole. It has a huge hump so I am thinking it is a male.

Right now I wouldn't worry about it but if she starts getting nasty I would rehome her.

The head and face is the easiest way to tell the difference.
