Just a new video of Kismet, my juvenile male argentea, looking sexy AF. I love this guy. Argentea have been on my cichlid bucket list for a very long time, but where I live they have always been impossible to actually get. Finally a supplier in Canada got them on their stock list, so I bought size small 2" babies and grew them out in the 6ft, 135gal tank until I narrowed down the one solo fish I wanted to keep. Rest have been sold off for a while now and Kismet has had the tank to himself since. He's doing really well, not a fast grower like some CA species can be but he's about 6" now and totally stunning. Also quite personable, always comes rushing out to say hi when I go down each day and turn his tank light on, begging for food and the like when I go into the room his tank is in. I apologize for the blue hue in the video - the lighting is definitely not nearly that blue in person, but my phone seems to really amplify it.
