So I have had a 3 week old kitten just pawned off onto me. I can't get any KMR (Kitten Milk Replacer) until tomorrow when I get to work (I work at an Animal Hospital). All I currently have on me is Nutri-Cal (Appetite Enhancer) and some Wellness brand canned puppy food. Should I try this mixture or no? If not what can I feed until I get to work tomorrow. It's a Sunday night so everything is closed. Ideas? I have a heating pad and blankets set up for it, I'm just waiting for the person with the kitten to get here....any help would be great...thanks!

ensure works well but do not use the dog food. If anything make sure it has water and it will do fine. I got my kitten when it was about 3 weeks too and he did not start eating canned solid food until several weeks later and is still not accepting dry food so I would not try anything that is not liquid. If you are really worried about it, an ALL MEAT baby food flavor makes a decent substitute. Try the turkey and gravy or something like that.

I used to use Evaporated milk diluted with 50 percent water and a tiny dab of Karo syrup. Worked out great. When they hit 4 or 5 weeks I used evaporated milk, baby Rice cereal and cottage cheese. Thats what my vet told me to feed em and they are big beauties a year later,

This will come in handy in case you have a kitten in the future that needs nurishment

My siamese kitten's runt brother was eating chicken baby food I think it was when I first picked him up, and was eating this as a supplement if he was sick or not eating regular food. If you do get the kitten, I'm going to need pics sent to me right away .... I love kittens.
