both are faders, the 2nd one doesn't look zz btw, mouth is smooth from that picture angle.

I don't think he's a ZZ fader. At least the ones I've seen don't have any pattern on them like this guy.

Can you explain what you mean by smooth mouth?? Does calibigrob's have the same trait?

Steve

kml are pretty hard to distinguish due to their huge differences in characteristics unless you're told what they are. They can possess traits of a kamfa or zz, since they are a mixed between the 2. So while some look completely zz, they are considered kml for other characteristics that would be possessed by the kamfa and vice versa. The zz's lips have an under bite. Your fish is definitely a fader, and it has strong characteristics of amphilophus citrinellus. The lips are smooth and smaller than your typical zz. (look at my avatar, we call them duck lips) Yours looks more like a traditional kamfa minus the kok. kml's now a days also seem to be very pearly and have strong color characteristics. The most common kml's are the thai silks. The market has been watered heavily and we just keep adding more and more strains which only adds to the confusion.

Take some better shots of your fish, the whole thing. Yours could definitely fall under kml also imo.

Now I see what your saying FHlov, I call that the drool bucket lip :D

Sorry to highjack calibigrob, it was not intended.
