Knife eats "Algae Wafers"?!?

Dropped a couple of Algae wafers into my 250 for the pleco & Tinfoil Barbs, when out comes my Clown Knife and eats BOTH wafers! Is this normal, Knife loves them. will spend about 20 min mucking around the bottom of the tank til he has found them all. My poor barbs and pleco.

My pike does the same thing. I use Hikari, what do you use?? Hikari has a main ingredient of fishmeal. So I think that is why my pike relishes them. She has gotten to the point of not eating krill, just wafers.

None of the knives Ive kept have eaten any sortve premade food. looks like you got a easy to feed knife there.

mine spits em out after a few minutes, he eats anything else though, i always try to switch it up,

I have 2 BGK and one of them when I first got em would only eat algae wafers until I introduced him to sinking carnivore pellets... now he won't touch the algae...

They must do something to them cuz my CK will eat them before the cut mahi mahi I give him.

which is why IMO they are not good for algae eaters, unless they are the more carnivorous kind.
for the record, they add MSG.
